The Insurance Licensing Coordinator/Account Manager plays a critical role in managing and supporting the licensing and compliance processes for insurance agents, agencies, carriers, and Managing General Agents (MGAs). This role involves conducting platform demos, providing administrative support, and ensuring adherence to licensing regulations and compliance guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of insurance compliance, excellent communication skills, and a client-focused approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Process new and renewal licenses, address/contact changes, and manage carrier state appointments (new, renewal, and termination).
  • Validate the licensing and appointment status of agencies, carriers, MGAs, and their producers to ensure compliance with state and industry guidelines.
  • Research state requirements to determine applicable licensing regulations.
  • Monitor changes in insurance regulations and compliance standards across all states.
  • Review regulatory bulletins, guidelines, and industry updates to maintain compliance.
  • Stay informed on NAIC, NIPR, and other industry organizations and standards
  • Review marketing content to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Develop expertise in the Agenzee platform to deliver professional demos.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on demos and sales calls.
  • Respond to demo and contact requests promptly.
  • Communicate with potential and current customers via email and phone.
  • Support client inquiries and provide resolution for licensing-related issues.
  • Re-engage past potential customers to explore new opportunities.
  • Attend trade shows and industry conferences to network and stay current on industry trends.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in insurance licensing within the Property & Casualty, and/or Life, Health & Disability Insurance sectors.
  • Proven experience with processes such as obtaining and renewing licenses, updating contact details, and managing carrier state appointments.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance laws, regulations, statutes, and compliance standards.
  • Strong understanding of licensing platforms (NAIC, NIPR) and various lines of authority in insurance.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a track record of effective client-facing interactions.
  • Ability to research and interpret insurance laws and regulatory updates accurately.
